You’re here because you want to reach the publishing finish line and get your ideas into the world. Let me help you put the final touches on something magnificent. 

For as long as I can remember, I’ve used words creatively. When I was a kid, I use to make up stories, write them out, and illustrate them with pictures cut out of magazines. Then, I’d mail them to my brother, who was off in college. 

I loved composition class in high school when other people dreaded it. While studying Samuel Johnson, I even talked my English teacher into letting me create a dictionary of made-up words instead of writing an essay. 

At the University of Puget Sound, I double majored in communication theory and creative writing. 

However, I detoured into a career in tourism, then later massage, and I eventually developed a business leading international spiritual tours. However, whether I worked in tourism or massage, I still loved using language. 

In 2016, a conversation with one of my sisters inspired me to write a book. I’d always thought it would be fun, but it also seemed overwhelming. At the same time, I stumbled across Self-Publishing School. I liked their stepwise approach, as well as their belief that by following the program, you could go from idea to Amazon bestseller in 90-days. I followed their guidelines, did the work, and three months later published Cultivating Compassion: Simple Everyday Practices for Discovering Peace of Mind and Resilience, which hit the best seller mark. 

What I didn’t realize was that I found the entire process to be easy and fun. I figured everyone loved copy editing and proofreading. I thought book formatting and uploading was an entertaining jigsaw puzzle. 

Then a friend, who’s just finished writing a book, told me how overwhelmed she feels by the post-writing details. She knows she’s smart and capable enough to get it done, but she doesn’t have time or interest in the final processes of launching her book. 

My conversation with her sparked the idea for this business. I realized that in the process of building an international travel business, I’d put myself right back into writing, copy editing, proofing, and formatting—all of which I love. 

So, I’m now offering to help you.
